My own internal commentary keeps bouncing between "This is such a great idea!" and "Good LORDS I'm insane for even considering this," and "My fate is in the hands of the Gods, and this is nothing if not doing your work, Old Man, so this better work."
Hardly interesting. However, my good friend Gus Gissing, up in Kitchener, Ontario, had a bright idea on how to expand my little jaunt into something more useful:
When people are done with their year in the Troth's clergy program, we should put all the names of the graduates in a-- a hobo bag, on a rune-carved stick? And if your name comes out, you have to take the train and make the circuit. Hey, the Troth could put up the $400 for the train pass...
I think circuit goðis are a great idea, but I don't think many of us can afford the month off work, unfortunately!
