Well, as I haven't updated this in a year, and obviously I got home all right, this site is now frozen -- all content is static starting from... now. Well, really then, but who's counting?
In early February, 2001, my contract with Placeware was due to expire and that March was the last time I'd have in awhile without a festival or other distraction in the way. So, for once, I decided to indulge my wanderlust... and go for a trip around the country. Originally, I was going to drive, but then I fell in love with Amtrak trains, so that's how I went.
These pages are the record of that trip -- a journal for me, which I'm just narcissistic enough to think someone else may want to read. It's the story of me, my luggage, a few gadgets, my friends all across the country... and a rail pass.
The links below will let you know what I'm doing, or at least what I've recently done. Submissions will be posted as soon as is reasonable; while I may write and snap pictures every day, I'm not necessarily in a place to upload photographs every day. Ergo, those little tags for newness and improvedness will be used as appropriate.
Note: Many pages herein are rather image-intensive, although I've done what I can to reduce overall page loading speed. People wanted pictures; pictures they get.
